[atrb=border,0,true] THE MEMBER GROUPS ,
There are three groups that are used within Washington. We recognize them as the different "beings" that currently exist in this world. This should give you a good idea of who they are and how they function.
human ( #4d9aa1 ) Humans are the majority of the population, or at least they appear to be for the government. There is nothing particularly special about the humans, they have no magical powers and are rather regular except to their own personal quirks. The perks of being human is that they are not as restricted to life as much as everyone else is in this world. They can do whatever they want freely, jobs are easy to get, houses are easy to get, and even in this year they live very similar to those that lived in the earlier 2000s.
the fuse ( #62469f ) The title of "the fuse" comes from the government referring to these people as those who are offspring of humans and flux. Their existence is something that shouldn't exist since flux and human intimacy is looked down on, but not completely banned. The fuse are similar to the flux, in the sense where they do have a certain power within them but they can never be fully achieved. There is a great weakness to their powers to the point where they hardly work and generally aren't even found until they are in their teenaged years. That being said, the Fuse generally reach their strength peak between the ages of 16 - 21, and then after that typically start dying more rapidly than humans and the flux. It's rare that these people live past the age of 35. Currently the record of the longest life span of the Fuse is 42.
the flux ( #3b6285 ) The flux are now formally recognized by all people as humans that were either born with a mutation or else built a mutation. By saying this, it is possible for a human to become a flux but generally this happens by a certain age. The flux have a power within them that is unique to each of individual that generally comes to be around the ages of 8 - 14. This mutation also seems to slow down their growth rate. Someone who might appear to be 18 could actually be closer to the age of 25. Typically they are healthy, regardless of their mutation although there is the rare one that dies young based on the sort of power they obtain, (i.e. one with telekinesis died at the age of 15 because the capacity of the amount his mind could hold gave out on him). There is a recorded 10 per cent of people that are the Flux, but this is mostly because many of them are hiding and are not documented by the government. In theory, there are more Flux than most speculate.
